His Heart for You

"Meeting Jesus"

Jesus, the Man Who Loved Women, loves the woman who is reading these words right now with all His heart.  This website would not be complete without a summons to that which was what He and His life, His interactions with men and women 2,000 years ago, His death, His resurrection and His ascension were all about.

It is astounding, the choices of the Son of God.  He stepped out of heavenly splendor and relinquished His every right as deity to assume the posture of an ordinary man; to walk among us and work with us; to taste our sorrows and celebrate our joys; to instruct us, lead us, heal us, reveal His Father’s heart for us, and more than anything else, to die, opening the gateways of Heaven to us. (John 1:14)  (Philippians 2:5-11)

And the big question about it all—the revelation question—is why?  Why would the Son of the Living God, with all the options in the universe, make those kinds of choices?  It is so huge an answer—so desperately vital to grip and grasp and cling to and never let go of—that, as much as this book, Jesus, the Man Who Loved Women, and this website has tried to convey, and as much as you have hopefully heard it, it just can’t be said or heard enough:

He loves you.

Just as you are…whoever you are…wherever you are…wherever you’ve been…whatever you’ve done—

He loves you.

You see, the Word of God is very clear: (Romans 3:23) “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (that means you and I and everyone else are exactly the same), and (Romans 6:23) “the wages of sin is death.”  In dying as He did, Jesus paid those wages for you and for me, for all eternity. (Isaiah 52:13 – 53:12)  He offers that to us—to accept His self-sacrifice as full payment, free of charge, free for the asking, the free gift of eternal life. (Ephesians 2: 8-9)

And so my question to you is, have you received this gift?  Only you and He know, and if you haven’t, I can promise you that He’s offering it to you in the privacy of your own heart right now as you read these words.

Jesus said, “Here I am!  I stand at the door and knock.” (Revelation 3:20)  Is He knocking on the door of your heart?  Won’t you let Him in?

(Isaiah 55:1, 3, 6) “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters; and you who have no money, come, buy and eat…Give ear and come to me; hear me, that your soul may live…Seek the Lord while He may be found; call on Him while He is near.”

If your answer is yes, then simply ask Him—right now, right where you are, “Jesus, I hear You knocking.  I don’t understand it all in my head, but deep inside me I know it’s all true.  Come into my heart.”  It will be the beginning of a fulfilling relationship—I guarantee it—and so much more than that, so does He.

If your answer is no, please understand He’s a true gentleman.  He doesn’t ever force Himself on anyone; He just keeps right on knocking: “I love you, I love you…”

But you know, chances are good that sometime in your life you’ve already answered that knock.  Whatever or wherever, you’ve done it and you’re launched into a life of salvation in Jesus Christ.  That’s such a wondrous opportunity—an opportunity never to be taken for granted, or considered casually, or allowed to be fogged over by the “stuff” of life and its preoccupying pursuits.

Count the cost every day, precious one—His cost.  And don’t ever for one second allow your salvation and your relationship with Him to become “just one more thing,” or, God forbid, not enough to satisfy.  Because when all is said and done, on the other side of all that we labor over and rush after and allow ourselves to get tangled in, every one of us will quickly discover He is the only thing—the big-time thing—Jesus!

So let us invest our lives wisely.  Tomorrow never comes.  Let us shake free of the superfluous and “fix our eyes on Jesus.”  He is the author and finisher of our faith, our perfector.  Let us “consider Him.” As He gave so very, very much—all that He is as God—in considering you and me.  (Hebrews 12:2-3)

(Matthew 11:28-29) “Come to Me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.  Take my yoke upon you and learn from Me; for I am gentle and humble in heart and you will find rest for your souls.”

Jesus!!

If you have prayed the above prayer, or have recommitted to living your life for Jesus Christ, we would love to hear from you.  Please let us know how we can support you.

Here are some steps and verses to follow to a new life with Jesus.

(1)  God desires for us to have a life of peace and purpose now and for all eternity.  “I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly.”  (John 10:10)

(2) Our fallen world and sin have separated us from God.  We were created to know, love, and glorify God.  When we willfully disobey God and go our own way, we are choosing to be separated from God both now and for all eternity.  The Bible says we are sinners.  “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”  (Romans 3:23)  But God is love”For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life.” (John 3:16)  God is also just”For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ, our Lord.”  (Romans 6:23)

(3)  We are helpless to save ourselves, but because God is Holy, He cannot allow sin to enter into Heaven.  Most people attempt to save themselves by their own efforts, good works, or church attendance.  The Bible says”There is a way that seems right unto man, but in the end it leads to death.”  (Proverbs 14:12)  How then can a sinful person enter Heaven where God allows no sin?

(4)  We are saved by grace because in spite of our sin, Christ died for us.  “By grace you have been saved through faith, and not of yourself; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest any man should boast.”  (Ephesians 2:8-9)  “But God demonstrates His own love for us in this; while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.”  (Romans 5:8)

(5)  We must respond to God’s gift in faith.  “If you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved.”  (Romans 10:9)

But because of His great love for us, God who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved.  (Ephesians 2:4-5)

The Next Step: Now What?

As a newborn babe needs to be cared for and nurtured in order to grow physically, the newborn child of God needs to be nurtured in order to grow spiritually.  Here's are some steps you must take to begin growing in Christ.

(1)  Tell a pastor or a Christian friend who can help you grow and teach you to find your spiritual gifts. “It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up.” (Ephesians 4:11-12)

(2)  Be baptized as your first act of obedience to the Lord’s commands.  “So he ordered that they be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ.”  (Acts 10:48)

(3)  Find a Bible preaching church that encourages and supports one another and join them this Sunday.  “How good and pleasant it is when brothers live together in unity!”  (Psalm 133:1)

(4)  Pray and read your Bible daily to hear God communicate His will for your life.  “Your word is a lamp unto my feet and a light unto my path.”  (Psalm 119:105)

(5)  Seek a Godly mentor who will teach you the ways of God and how to live a holy life.  “In the same way, teach the older women to lead a holy life.  They must not tell lies about others.  They must not let wine control them.  Instead, they must teach what is good.” (Titus 2:3)
